County Blitz in NewcastleWest June 10th
Our under 10s and some of our under 8s were in NewcastleWest at the County Blitz last Sunday. A great day with lots of teams and lots of camogie.  John Rea took all the photos which can be viewed on the Under 10s team page. Picture below is our Under 10s that took part and were winners in the D final against Croagh. With the talent on display the future looks bright for Monaleen Camogie - keep it up girls.

U12s East County Development Squad
Congratulations to Áine Nelligan, Taine Amodeo, Annie Russell, Áine Doyle, Ruth Heavey and Katie Golden who have been selected on the East development squad and will play in the County Development blitz in Rathkeale next Monday 18th.

Girls U12 Football. St Patrick's 1-2 Monaleen 4-8
The girls ended their league campaign with a win away to neighbours St Pat's on Friday evening. Playing with the help of a strong wind in the first half we quickly got on top with midfielders Sarah Stritch, Rachel O' Dell and Annie Russell dominating and forwards Caitlin Bonfil and Ellen Magner taking good scores to leave us 3-5 to 0-1 ahead at half time  St Pats had plenty of possession in the second half and but for good defending by Laura Stritch, Emma Doyle, Aine Doyle and Aine Nelligan would have added more to their tally. Our forwards found it hard going against the wind and hit a lot of wides but there were some good scores taken by Laura Donaghey and Ruth Heavey to close out the game. Having finished third out of eleven teams in our group we now progress to the B semi final next Friday which is a fair reward for the huge improvement shown by the players since the start of the season. Panel: Christina Maletta (capt.) Aine Doyle Aine Nelligan Laura Hogan Emma Doyle Laura Stritch Sarah Stritch Rachel O' Dell (2-1) Annie Russell (0-2)  Ellen Magner (0-1 ) Lauren O' Brien Caitlin Bonfil (2-0)  Lydia Halas Stephanie Mitchell Laura Donaghey (0-2) Ruth Heavey (0-2).

Girls U14 Football  had an emphatic win over Moneygea last Weds in Adare and will now play Murroe-Boher in the A final on Weds 13th.
