Ballyboden Visit
Ballyboden are once again visiting us on Saturday 19th October. This is the 2nd year that they have made their reciprocal visit after our visit on All Ireland Camogie final day.
Matches will be played on Monaleen main pitch with the U13’s & U12’s turning out at 2.30.

U14 blitz
The U14’s finished their season with a home blitz on Saturday hosting Murroe Boher & Ahane. First up was a tough encounter with Murroe Boher. In the first half the 2 evenly matched teams failed to score with Katie Golden at centreback the stand out Monaleen player. Second half scores from Aine Doyle & Aishling Kennedy highlighted a more fluent performance from the forwards allowing Monaleen to pull away for a 3-1 to 0-0 win. Our second match was a more one sided affair with Monaleen girls rounding off their season with a  5-0 to 0-0 win. Shalini Kutur had 2 great games and was able for  the best that Ahane or Murroe Boher had to offer. Well done girls for 2 great performances at the end of a long ‘Feile’ season with plenty of training sessions and matches since early in the year. A special thanks to the parents who supplied the refreshments on the day and throughout the season.

Team: Kealin Corcoran; Laura Hogan; Susan Fullen; Robyn McDonnell(1-0); Maeve Rae; Aishling Kennedy(2-0)  Caitlin Bonfil (2-0); Ruth Heavey; Aishling Fitzgerald; Katie Golden; Anna Burke; Ailish Wiley; Aine Doyle (2-1);  Orlaith Gallagher; Ellen Reagan Magner; Emma Donohoe; Kerri O Donoghue; Sarah Costello.

Camogie U11 League v Ahane – Sun 13th Oct
On Sunday the U11 began the Autumn City League competition with an away match in Ahane. A strong spine of Lucy D'Arcy in defence, Aoife Nelligan in midfield and Eimar Morgan up front meant Monaleen took control early on. Aoife and Eimar were rewarded for their tenacity as they took some great scores, the pick of them being Aoife's point on the run. Aoife Doyle also rattled the net. Other strong performers were Grace Clohessy, Clodagh Power and Laura Burke. The Monaleen defenders including Juliette Pinson, Emma Rae and Francesca Kearns had a perfect game along with Rachel Shinners in goal as they kept Ahane scoreless for the entire match. Well done to all the girls on a great win which will give them confidence for the next game. Next up is Crecora at home next Sunday @10am in Monaleen which promises to be a tougher task.
