Great credit due to the players and management of Paul Coleman, Peter Russell and Niall (Hop Along) Macken.

U9 Hurling: Our U9’s combined the U10’s to take on Clonlara in the Doonass pitch in what was a fine evening for hurling. Our U9’s consisted of  Bryan Canny, Cillian Coffey, Darragh Connaughton, Darragh Quinn, Eoin Dignam, Eric Stritch, John Foley, John Ryan, Lee Morgan, Rory Doyle, Scott Lavelle and Tony Power. Fine hurling was played by all with some notable performances from John Ryan who scored a handful of goals and from DarraghC who was resolute in defence!  Thanks to Clonlara GAA for being great hosts. We hope to see them again in Monaleen before the end of season.

U8 Hurling: Our U8 Hurlers played their first match of the season on Friday 13th April when they travelled out to Mungret to play the hosts. We had a great turnout of both players and supporters on what was a lovely evening for hurling. The dedication the players put into training indoors over the winter months certainly was evident in the games played. The skill levels and attitude of all the players was of the highest level with Monaleen just about shading three of the four closely fought games. Mungret were as always most welcoming hosts on the night.
