Camogie U-11 league

On Sunday our U11’s had great win over Crecora in the Autumn City League. On a bright sunny morning, Monaleen proved the better of the 2 sides in a thrilling game. The Monaleen defence absorbed the early pressure with a dominant performance from Lucy D'Arcy in the back line. At the other end, Monaleen took advantage of their superiority in midfield with 2 fine goals from Aoife Nelligan and Eimar Morgan. The second half was played at a frenetic pace with Crecora throwing everything at the Monaleen defence, before eventually scoring a goal back. Monaleen were again saved by the woodwork with minutes to go and held Crecora out with some fine goalkeeping from Rachel Shinners. The result, Monaleen's second successive win, ensures them a place in the A final on Sunday week, and follows a four goals to one victory over the visiting Ballyboden side on the previous day. Well done to all the girls who played in both matches.
