Intermediate Camogie
On Sunday our intermediate girls (combined with Tournafulla) played Kilmallock in Ballyagran. Kilmallock started well and had 1-1 scored within a couple of minutes. While not playing their best Monaleen/Tour were a point ahead at half time in what was a tough championship encounter.

The play was more fluent in the second half with Niamh Doyle causing trouble for the Kilmallock full forward line and Shannon Power winning a lot of ball in the half back line. Fitness was also a factor and as the game drew to a close there was only one winner as Monaleen/Tour ran out 6 point winners.

The prize is a quarter-final v Na Piarsaigh next Sunday. More improvement will be required to progress further. Monaleen players: Aoife Hogan; Grainne Fullen; Niamh Doyle; Shannon Power; Emer Nelson; Eileen Russell & Megan O Mara.
