County Champions
Monaleen successfully defending their county U16 League title in a competitive final played in Boher on Thursday
Old rivals Crecora were our opponents and as in previous finals between these 2 teams the game was tough and competitive. Two goals in the first half gave Crecora a 7 point lead after 20 minutes but Monaleen battled back to leave the sides level at half time. However Monaeen were the dominant side in the second half and when Grace Clohessy completed her hat-trick with 10 minutes left in the game, victory was assured. The game ended on a scoreline of Monaleen 4-10 Crecora 2-5 and Charley Drury accepted the cup on behalf of the victorious Monaleen team.
