Under 16s

2012
In September four of our U16s took part in a skills competition at Croke Park on Camogie All-Ireland final. Watch the video to see how they got on.

Under 16s Skills Competition

The U16 championship started in August - Our first match was on 30th Aug  v Ceapagh Rua and then we played Crecora followed by plate final v Bruff. This was a great game with both sides giving it their best shot - Monaleen getting some late goals to win out by a comfortable margin in the end. More silverware for this great bunch of players - well done girls.

2011
2011 was a landmark year for Monaleen Camogie club  - the first year we entered an U16 team in county level competitions. Many of these players have been with the club since they first started playing camogie at U8 level. All their hard work over the years have really paid off and they celebrated a great victory in the U16 'C' County Championship - leading the way for the younger age teams. It was also a significant year in that Shannon Power is the first all-Ireland winner from the club,  she was a member of the Limerick team that defeated Offaly in the All-Ireland final in June. Aoife Hogan also picked up a Munster medal in 2011 with Limerick U16s.
